Calvinism

Calvinism; the belief that people are saved through God' sgrace and predestination, not only their good deeds and value beliefs. The term also refers to the principles and practices derived from the works of John Calvin. Known as a Martin Luther's successor is the founder of this belief due to the powerful impact on the fundamental doctrines of Protestantism. The expansion of Calvinism throughout Europe began during Calvin's lifetime and was deeply encouraged by him. Religious refugees travelled to Geneva to seek religious reform as the government became increasingly prejudiced by the church's. Thus, Geneva became the center for religious movement; with the appeal it the growing age of troubling social classes, this religion provided the comfort by its doctrine that was followed by many.
An important issue that Calvinism faces, even to this day, is distinguishing between Calvinism itself and the personal beliefs that Calvin himself held. The beliefs of his followers contradicted slightly in many ways to Calvin's, thus they modified his teachings in order to reach their own religious needs.

Alongside these beliefs were influenced by the Reformation of Protestant Christianity. These church's were non-Lutheran Protestant Churches:
Calvinism vs. Lutherism
·                Calvinism was started by John Calvin (1509-1564) while Lutherism was the brainchild of Martin Luther (1483-1546).
·                Calvin salvation belief is that of predestination whereas Lutheranism believes anyonecan attain salvation through faith alone.
·                Calvinism further stresses the absolute sovereignty of God whereas Lutheranism believes man has some control over certain aspects in his life.

Furthermore, the system which Calvinism beliefs remain are the in depth views of scripture and the theological formulations which are driven by God's words alone. The scripture focuses on God's sovereignty(divine power); God is able to have the power to do what he desires/believes with his creation. Thus, according the the bible, grace is given to people who go through salvation emphasizing that Jesus died on for those who are predestined; either meant to go to heaven/hell from the moment a being is born. Original sin, "vibrating" with evil is was influences the concept that redemption is utterly impossible for those who lose their salvation.
